The Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) has announced two day-long programs that will be held Sept. 8, the day prior to the opening of the Cord Blood Connect International Congress.
Cord Blood Accreditation and Quality Principles Workshop
This workshop at Loews Miami Beach Hotel is designed to explain the requirements for FACT cord blood bank accreditation and examine quality principles. FACT representatives will be in attendance to assist programs in organizing and preparing for the accreditation process, and address quality principles of cord blood banking.

FACT Cord Blood Inspector Training Course
Also scheduled for Loews Miami Beach Hotel is an Inspector Training Course for eligible individuals to serve as FACT cord blood bank inspectors. The course will guide the trainee through the inspection process, including document review, on-site assessment and Accreditation Committee review.
FACT is actively seeking new cord blood inspectors. Applicants must be affiliated with a FACT-accredited or applicant organization, meet educational and professional qualifications, and have appropriate work experience related to his or her area of expertise.
