More than 350 are expected to attend the Cord Blood Connect international congress, with nearly a third traveling from 28 countries.
International guests at the congress will be coming from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, France, Georgia, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom and Vietnam.
A pre-conference day of sessions, sponsored by the World Marrow Donor Association-NetCord and the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy, will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12. The pre-congress agenda includes a Cord Blood Quality Boot Camp and an inspector training workshop. (Separate registration is required.)
Congress registration opens at 4 pm Thursday.
Breakfast on Friday will precede the 8:15 am Opening Session that will provide an overview of the congress agenda and a keynote lecture by Dr. Hal Broxmeyer who will be receiving this year’s CBA Lifetime Achievement Award.
A Welcome Reception is scheduled for 5:30 pm Friday, oceanside on the Americana Lawn.
